Caribbean Experience is a concept that I came up with after more than 20 years of playing guitar. I started playing in 1975 on an Island in the West Indies called Grenada. I later migrated to the US and settled in Brooklyn New York where, in my first year of music school, helped start a local band called "1506". Within the nine years we were together, our style touched on numerous genres from Pop Rock and R & B to Funk and Speed Metal (ala Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Slash of Guns-N-Roses). I moved to Florida in 1994 and started Caribbean Experience while playing steel drums and guitar in a reggae band; thus coming full circle to the beginning of my journey into the fusion of all my musical influences. With my unique experiences and all the people I’ve come in contact with throughout the years, I’m able to bring you affordable entertainment without compromising quality. |

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago from a musical family background where steel pan and calypso is the culture. Learned to play the bass guitar which lead to playing with top groups in Trinidad including many years with Shandileer (arranged music and played bass guitar); Sound Rev. (played keyboards) and Solo Harmonites, a steel band (arranged music only). Later toured the Caribbean with the king of Calypso "The Mighty Sparrow" and his band "The Troubadours" (played keyboards). Moved to New York City to continue touring with "The Mighty Sparrow" and his band. Came to Orlando, Florida and formed a band called "Deja" which played for several years throughout central Florida. After moving to Tampa I met and began playing with Floyd T Lewis |
